On behalf of Pondo, and the entire Mecha Panda Publishing team, we are excited to announce that the second edition of Violent Skies is now available online. This is a milestone not only for us, but for everyone who has been watching closely and following this project’s journey from document to print. We thank you all for your support.
T.J. Lockwood’s Violent Skies is a Sci Fi story which serves as the first glance into a world where overpopulation has sculpted the future of mankind. Twelve flying cities were constructed, each with their own function to aid in mankind’s continued existence. Though, like most things, priorities soon shift onto the next problem when a prior one has been solved. Set along the I-5 and into the heart of BCs Lower Mainland, Violent Skies hosts a journey not only of travels, but of survival as well. Wallflower is spunky, tired and a former citizen of flying city number eleven. Jace will push her buttons, and Polluck will test her spirit, but she is her own person, and the choices she makes are for herself and no one else.

VIOLENT SKIES: Synopsis
THE FALL OF THE ELEVENTH CITY WAS WHAT SHOOK THE EARTH, BUT IT WAS MANKIND WHO BROUGHT THE WORLD TO ITS KNEES…
In a world over stretched in population and resources, the skies were meant to be the greatest beacon for innovation and freedom. The flying cities were constructed in a time of need driven by hope, and fuelled by ambition. The end results; however, cast an unintentional shadow upon those still making a home below. While the world above flourished the surface where mankind originated decayed into a wasteland. This is a story of a wanderer named Wallflower, a package named Jace, and their journey to move on and confront the echoes of mankind’s past. Out there the best way to solve a disagreement is with a good old fashioned bullet. Up in the skies or on the ground, it doesn’t matter, one can’t clean up a mess without making a bigger one first.
“…this sharp and gritty debut novel from T.J. Lockwood stands out in all the right ways. Violent Skies delivers a vividly dystopian world of flying (and once-flying) cities, nanobot addiction, and factions with
conflicting interests.” Camille Gooderham Campbell, Managing Editor of Everyday Fiction
